PHILOSOPHY & COMMITMENT 
Wheels of Life School is dedicated to providing the space, time, tools and guidance for children to get to know themselves and develop a relationship with their community and the world.
Our goal is to offer learning experiences and facilitation that will engage students educationally as well as empower them as to become self- regulated humans and positive social members of any community they are a part of. By providing a non-coercive learning atmosphere we will inspire our students to make choices about their learning. Through our intentional and individualized curriculum we hope to encourage each student to approach life with confidence, creativity, integrity, and responsible connection to all living things.
Our days will be guided by theme and routine yet available for student led discovery and spontaneous teaching moments. Our theme-based curriculum will provide a common thread for integrating a foundation of learning in language, mathematics, science, art (including fine arts), geography, biology, history and cultural studies, health and body awareness. A multiple intelligence and experiential approach is used for individual, peer led and small group learning. Our non-standardized approach will nurture reading, math, and spelling skills through individualized learning.
